The Storyteller Behind the Magic

A little about me — my name is Khris, I'm 73 years old, a proud British citizen of Indian origin, and a pensioner who finally picked up the pen at the grand age of 70. For most of my life, stories lived quietly inside me. Now, at last, I get to set them free on the page.

I've always adored telling stories to children. There's something about the way little ones lean in, eyes wide, that makes every word feel like it matters. My grandchildren were my very first audience, and their giggles, gasps and endless "what happens next?" became the heartbeat of everything I write.

My roots stretch from the warm, spice-scented kitchens of my Indian heritage to the cosy, rainy afternoons of British storytime — and both worlds find their way gently into Mag and Delain's adventures. I believe it's never too late to begin, never too late to dream, and never too late to share a story with someone small enough to still believe in magic.
